Thumb 2, 5, 9.

Yesterday was a big day for my little guy. It started off with my realization that size 1 diapers were a little to snug. How in the world did he grow from newborn to size 2 so quickly?! Those little (or big) cheeks and bulging belly fit much more comfortably in size 2.

"mom, size 2 would be nice please. look at my belly!"

Last night I made a mommy decision. I was wanting more sleep (selfish, I know). I thought if I made his night time bottle 6 oz, not 4, I would maybe get a little more sleep (he gets formula at night). After we finished bath time and cuddled up in the glider to eat, he got down to business on that bottle and ate 5 oz! Wahooo!!!! What did eating 5 oz lead to??? 9 straight hours of sleep!!!!! Yayyyy!!!!! What does 9 straight hours of sleep mean? A happy momma!!! :) I'm so proud of my little (growing) man.

Maddux has recently discovered his fingers. Not in the "I'm a hungry newborn" way. As in "I lost my paci, I'll suck my thumb." Yes, I think we have a thumb sucker in our family. I caught him dead in the act....forget the paci!

He is taking after his mom and dad who were both thumb suckers :) 

It's been more fun watching him grow and develop over the last couple of weeks. His strong eye contact, ability to roll over, reaching for toys, longer stretches of sleep, holding his head up, and the list could go on. It's amazing how such a little person can change so much in a short amount of time. It's no joke, you blink and they grow.
