Roll Over. Roll Over.

Yesterday he rolled over. Yup. Maddux rolled over. I was completely shocked! Last week he had his 2 month appointment (where everything looked great and he weighed in at 11 lbs 4 oz). Dr. Sanchez reminded me that tummy time is important at his age and said to me "In the next couple of months he will probably learn to roll over". Well, first time mom here took that as in two months, not 10 days! I'm such a proud momma :) Below is a little video of him showing off his new skill (don't mind my overly excited voice). Sorry about the quality, I took it with my cell phone.

On a different note, the inspiration for this blog. A while back there was a google chrome commercial that melted my heart. It was about a father who set up a gmail account and used his newborn daughter's name as the user name. As his daughter grew up he would email that account regarding different milestones she had achieved and events that had gone on in her life. You can check out that commercial here. I love it. Loved the idea. It's a modern baby book, but way cooler (yes, I said cooler).

Anyway, time passed, Maddux was born, and I completely forgot about that commercial...until I wanted to blog. I asked Will to help me come up with a title for this blog and while brainstorming we remembered that commercial...which led us to the title "Living Today. Blogging Tomorrow.". I want this blog to be something we can look back at and say "Hey, remember that?". It might be a milestone Maddux reached or a special trip we took together as a family. Perhaps it's something significant to history. It's kind of like our family journal/baby book. Since welcoming Maddux into this world I've realized how blessed I am to wake up each day and be his mother. Why wake up and not try to live each day as if it's your last? Life is fabulous. A true blessing from God. And I get to share it with my adorable son and best friend, Will. Hopefully in the future we can look back through blog posts and reminisce about our children growing up and adventures we've experienced as a family.

Happy Thursday ya'll. Here is a little picture that will hopefully put a smile on your face, I know it does mine :)
